BBC Gives Local Drunk Chance To Wake Up In Mediterranean Gutter

Sun, sea, and booze!

Laura Hall, the first person on Knifecrime Island to receive a total ban on alcohol consumption throughout the country, has found a way to beat the system! She’s jetting off to “the Cypriot party resort of Ayia Napa later this month with a BBC camera crew in tow. She has saved up her benefits for the two-week trip and will be followed by a documentary crew from BBC Three who will be capturing her exploits for a new TV show.” The BBC is quick to point out that they’re not paying unemployed wastrel Hall for her participation and that the show is “a responsible film for BBC Three following her over time as she tries to turn her life around.” And what better place for a chronic lush to do that than in one of Europe’s hottest party capitals? This is exactly what public service broadcasting should be about!
