The third major installment in the Los Angeles Times’ “investigation exploring the role of OxyContin in the nation’s opioid epidemic” came out at the beginning of the week, and if it is less harrowing than the previous two installments it is also somehow more alarming, as it details the plans of the Sackler family’s Purdue Pharma company to take the drug worldwide.
