Tortoises Divorce

“They are both 115 years old — they have been together since they were young and grew up together, eventually becoming a pair. But for no reason that anyone can discover they seem to have fallen out, they just can’t stand each other.”
 — Helga Happ, director of the the Reptilian Zoo Happ in Klagenfurt, Austria, reports that the world’s longest-lasting known marriage, one between two tortoises named Bibi and Poldi, is on the skids. Happ has her staff trying to talk the tortoises into a reconciliation, but so far it seems like nothing they can say is going to convince them to get back together. This is very sad.
