White Things That Are Not Snow Are Falling From The Sky

If you’ve been out already this morning you will have noticed — at least in the Union Square area — the proliferation of tiny white, I don’t know, fluff whipping around in the wind. Maybe it’s pollen or something? At first I thought, “Oh, great, here’s an exciting new phase of alcoholism, where the spots I see in the corner of my vision are light rather than dark,” but there were way to many of them and they were way too right out in the open to be symptomatic of dipsomania-based degeneration. Again, I’m not sure what they are — who am I, John frigging Muir? They’re white and wispy is all I can tell you — but either way, it’s windy out there. And cold. Bring a coat.
