Happy Primary Day, New Yorkers! I just want to alert you to a little-known state law that makes it legal to vote for the candidate of your choice without having to turn it into a huge thing on social media. A more recent statute also removes the requirement to get into pointless, embarrassing Twitter fights with supporters of rival candidates. I’m not generally supportive of our legislature and the work they do, but the fact that we live in a state where there is no obligation to reveal just how sad and empty your own life is by engaging in crude, shameful arguments with people you’ve never met is something we should celebrate, and the best way to celebrate is by exercising those rights.
