Eagle Fine

The most beautiful phrase in the English language, discovered just this week: “(Eagle is Fine)”

(Eagle is Fine) are words that could only be preceded by a sentence like, oh, say, “2m Wedge-Tailed Eagle takes down Drone. Watch it Punch it out of the sky,” in, for example, “Australia,” which in this case they are.

(Eagle is Fine) fends off the question of whether or not the Eagle is Fine by seemingly addressing it but stopping short of actually satisfying it by hiding its claim inside parentheses. Oh, it says, before you even ask, with a dismissive look or even an eye-roll, as Eagle audibly whimpers, Eagle is FINE. We might imagine this followed, in person, with a further claim-like series of words: I mean, he flew away. I don’t know, man! Eagle is Fine! Eagle shouldn’t have been flying near Drone in the first place. Drone was hovering STILL, in once place. Eagle hit drone. Why don’t you ask if Drone is Fine? Drone is Fine, by the way.
