★ Clouds. A shower. Clouds. A shower. Clouds. A shower. Stasis in the guise of change. Little drops fell on Park Avenue, just heavily enough not to ignore. People sheltered with a cigarette or a cup of coffee, waiting out the inconvenience. At last, with most of the day gone, the routine wore off and things opened up. The air was freshening, if not wholly fresh. The sun did some attractive things around and between the remaining clouds, by way of halfhearted apology.
