Jay Electronica (Featuring John F. Kennedy) "The Announcement"

Okay. This is pretty excellent. Jay-Z took a break from promoting his book to throw a party Friday night to announce the signing of the New Orleans-born MC Jay Electronica to his Roc Nation label. With so many people up-in-arms about the death of hip-hop, and how the big corporate labels are ruining everything (and these complaints are not without merit), it’s nice to see a big corporate entity sign someone who makes records that sound this much like crazy-ass Kool-Keith space rap. I actually think it’s been a good strong year for hip-hop. And, I guess, zombies in general. Here’s another song from the signing, this one featuring both Jays.
